DESCRIPTION:In June 2024\, the Primary Care and Family Medicine Network for sub-Saharan Africa (PRIMAFAMED) will gather its members for the annual meeting of the network. \n  \nOn the first day of the PRIMAFAMED meeting\, CliMigHealth members Ilse Ruyssen\, Charlotte Scheerens\, and Christian Lokotola will present on their Teams project on primary care\, as well as give an overview of network updates at 4:00-5:00 pm UTC+3. SUMMARY:International Conference GAPSYM17 "Africa at the intersection of Climate\, Migration & Health challenges"
DESCRIPTION:This 17th multidisciplinary conference of the AUGent Africa Platform “Africa at the intersection of Climate\, Migration & Health challenges” will be co-organised by CliMigHealth\, the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) and the Centre for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees (CESSMIR). The conference will take place in the city library De Krook in Ghent\, Belgium. \nThe GAPSYM17 conference hopes to showcase how scientists\, policymakers\, artists\, writers\, opinion makers and educators reflect on present-day developments related to the Climate-Migration-Health nexus\, as well as subthemes that focus on one of these dimensions\, with emphasis on Africa. GAPSYM17 will offer its participants a platform to engage explicitly on these topics\, also beyond academic research\, including the organisation of writeshops\, round tables and seminars related to advancements in terms of education and outreach. \nYou can find a full description of the GAPSYM17 call for papers here. If you want to become a part of this unique interdisciplinary forum\, then submit your abstract by 1 June 2024.
